How can we visualise a design declaration?

First Things First

In this project, students are to create a Duotone publication of the manifestos for designers. The publication aims to inform designers how creative roles have evolved with the economy over the last 5 decades. Therefore after reading the manifesto, I’ve thought of the theme Growth. Because in 1964, their thinkings were rather fresh and more ambitious . Their dream was too far fetch in a way. However as we look at the progress in 2014, they start to focus on smaller things to change it. Hence we can see the growth in them. Furthermore the colour used are pink and green. This is to symbolise nature and purity. When they first started off, they’re more towards the pure side, didn’t think much of what to do and start off with an ambitious thought. Whereas green is to show the growth in them and growth is part of nature.

All in all I had fun playing with the layout, illustration and adding photograph in the manifesto to enhance the theme.
